STRUCTURES
We’ve installed thousands of cathodic protection systems that safeguard many types of structures, including:
- At- and below-grade storage tanks.
- Well casings.
- Buried and submerged pipelines.
- Water tanks.
- Heat exchangers.
- Piles.
SOLAR UNITS FOR REMOTE LOCATIONS
Cathodic protection systems depend on a reliable source of electric power. For remote locations without ready access to an electric power supply, we design, manufacture, install and maintain solar-power systems.
Features
- Range from 1 to 15 amperes.
- No field assembly is required, which improves quality control and reliability.
- Self-contained and skid-mounted. Just set it on site, connect CP cables and activate.
- Constant current or can be potential controlled.
- Redundant component welds and stainless-steel rivet construction are used to deter the theft of solar panels.
Design
- State-of-the-art design backed by 20+ years of experience.
- Design integrates historic insolation and temperature data for the specific geographic location of the solar site.
- Functional for up to five days with no sun.
- Built to withstand hostile environments and remote sites.
- Frame is constructed of power-coated steel and anodized aluminum.
WE'LL KEEP YOU UP AND RUNNING
It’s important to regularly check a cathodic protection system for proper operation. We provide inspections and offer professional recommendations for upgrades, repair and ongoing maintenance. In addition, we provide database management, exception reporting and regulatory audit support services to customers with limited personnel.
GROUNDBED INSTALLATIONS
Our experienced crews have installed thousands of cathodic protection systems throughout the country in a safe and cost-effective manner.
Structures protected include:
- At- and below-grade storage tanks.
- Buried and submerged pipelines.
- Municipal water supply systems.
- Internal and external water tanks.
- Heat exchangers.
- Piles.
- An extensive variety of other submerged and buried facilities.
Cathodic protection system installations include:
- Conventional.
- Deep well.
- Sacrificial.
- Linear anode.
- Under tank.
- Other various installations.
AIR EXCAVATION SERVICES
Air excavation is a safe, effective method to get to buried structures for installation, verification or repair. Protect your underground facilities from third-party damage with air excavation.
We offer air excavating services for several applications, including cathodic protection installation. We use the VACMASTERS Systems 4000 and 3000 units featuring selectable air or water digging, allowing crews to use air 95 percent of the time with water available when needed.
These units are workhorses with enough force to dig deep down in even the hardest soils, exposing utilities without harming them. Now you can dig faster, easier, and safer in soils that are hard, wet, sunbaked or compacted.
- Test stations installations and repairs.
- CP system installs.
- Cable excavation and repair.
- Pothole utilities and pipelines.
- Permanent reference cell and coupon installation.
benefits of air excavation
Efficiency
- No mud hauling, disposal costs or return with backfill.
- Downhole tools.
- Integrated sandblasting tools allow us to expose the pipe and remove coating quickly and effectively.
- UT testing, weld, recoat, inspect and photograph safely from the surface.
- Downhole amp clamp provides real-time current flow in pipeline interference testing.
Safety
- No risk of physical utility damage.
- Eliminates the need for personnel to enter an excavation.
